Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I want to put together a "listening center" for use by our 3-year-old. I'm looking for ideas and tips for set-up and use. And since he's not at the point where he can follow along in a book yet (with page turn signals), I'm hoping to actually get recommendations for good short story cassettes (if they incluse music/songs all the better), particularly religious/biblical or nonfiction (such as animals). I just bought a Fisher Price cassette player at a garage sale and we have a Wee Sing tape that he loves listening to --- I think we're onto something! TIA for your help, ladies!

My ds 4 has loved all the Beatrix Potter audios, I think it's Meryl Streep and she narrates them beautifully. If length is an issue, what about Blueberries for Sal, Ferdinand, Winnie-the-Pooh (not the Disney ones) or Frog and Toad are all good and mostly funny, good for listening!

My dd(4) loves one called Bilingual Songs Vol. 1. It has songs that alternate between english and spanish and teaches colors, number, days, etc. The kids have picked up alot of spanish from it.

My boys really like Glory Stories produced by Catholic World Mission. They are all very well done. I really can't say enough good about them!

My little guys love "Catholic Songs for Children" sold by Seton. The tunes are so catchy and some tell wonderful stories like "Daniel in the Lions Den". My children also loved when I read their favorite short stories on tape. They would listen to my versions over and over!
