Has anyone read Consider This by Karen Glass? Or how about The Liberal Arts Tradition by Jain?
Or how about Norms and Nobility?
During this short but very LOOOOOONNNNNGGGG month of February I tend to want to find something to read that will be an inspiration.
Last year, The Living Page was the ticket. Now I am searching again. I read about Consider This in this thread over at the Well Trained Mind board. When I looked it up at Amazon, I noticed I had the other two books above in my wish list, which is actually more of a "Oh this looks interesting. I'll put it in here and come back later to learn more about it" list which is way too long because I never get back to it!
I would be interested to hear your thoughts if you've read any or all of the above books. I would also love to hear if you have any other books I should be considering (or at least adding to my Amazon list ).

I really liked Beauty in the Word by Stratford Caldecott a lot, and I have heard his book, Beauty for Truth's Sake is good as well.

I've added Consider This to the top of my favorite Charlotte Mason books! Loved it!
I also just read the new Narration book from Simply Charlotte Mason and it was wonderful too. I thought I knew all about narration until I read that book. I learned a ton! Or should I say I understand it some much better.

Consider This is very good, but I am currently reading The Liberal Arts Tradition and finding it much more inspiring (but that's probably more a personal thing than a judgement on the quality of either book). Norms and Nobility is also amazing. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Sorry, that's probably not much help us it?

Currently 'pecking away' at Consider This. It is sooo 'meaty' some friends and I are talking of having a book club, so much to discuss!!
Don't have the others but they look terrific too!

I think Consider This is the best book on CM besides the books written by CM herself. It made things so much clearer for me. I think Consider This is a good accompaniment read with The Living Page.
I have read Jain's book but did not like it as much but I think I am the only one who didn't like it so, as Mrs. A says, this is just a personal opinion.
I have also read Norms and Nobility. It is very good but it is a hard read. It took me three attempts to finally finish the book.
Stratford Caldecott books are also very good, actually they are better than good.

Just started a book club, studying Consider This, with a couple of dear friends, first time I've ever done something like this, so excited.
