I might be in organizational overdrive, but, I thought maybe another thread for information regarding the Tour de France race might be helpful.

Last year my kids (who love dress up) were thrilled with the idea of being awarded a different shirt color for winning a section of the race.

Encyclopedia

Based on this article, I've gleaned:
Yellow shirt - overall leader
green - for winning of a stage
polka dot (white shirt red dots) King of the Mountains
white jersey - young rider less than 25 years old

historical jerseys abolished in 1989
(I need more than four colors because I want each of my children to wear a winning shirt)

Red jersey (I forget)

Patchwork a combination of points from above.

I'm thinking of working on these shirts this month. Maybe with fabric paint and a bag of Hanes T shirts.

I should get our bikes tuned up for some biking. (Slim chance on that) I'll be satisfied with some games on the lawn and the "awarding of t shirts" at the end of the day. They would have a blast with that. I think they would like making the shirts as well.
