Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

(If this is too off topic for this forum please move me elsewhere! )
Sometimes I think this would be the ideal homeschool adventure. I could see the problem with not being connected to a single parish for that long but I know, through our own travels, it is not difficult to find a solid Catholic Church to attend. So what do you think?

I love the idea, but I need my roots, too.

We're planning to take a month in late-winter or early-spring to RV for a month. We've never RV'd before, so this is very adventurous for us. My DH works from home, so with internet access he could work on the road. My kids each have their own opinions of where we should go. All six of us are thinking about it!

okay, so my dh brought me back to reality. I've been canning and planning on canning more. What would we do with all of those beautiful jars of home canned tomatoes?! What about the apple trees and grape vines we've been talking about planting? I guess I need my roots too, Monica!
I know that when things get stressful my first thought is to go somewhere - escape! Maybe that is why I find this so appealing. A month sounds pretty good right now!

Well, I know what you mean! I've long had that dream of kids, traveling schoolwork, travel *as* schoolwork, life on the road, seeing America, etc etc etc etc. And hm, I haven't canned a thing!

Too bad my husband has a job that requires his physical presence, because the rest of us would totally do it . . . :)

That's us too, Sally. We'd jump at it if we could. Travel about half the year, stay home when it's cold.
