I have added way too many extras to my CHC shopping cart and can't spend this much!
I have a ds 9 1/2 and dd 8 and can't decide between:
1. Bush Boys Adventure Series
2. Artie & the Princess
3. The Young Man's Handybook
4. RMS Titanic Heroes (and if I purchase this, are the trading cards necessary?)
5. WWII Chaplains, Legacy of Virtue (same question - are trading cards necessary?)
6. Lepanto DVD: The Battle That Saved Christendom
I must eliminate some things. Any suggestions for prioritizing my list?

I have not seen everything on your list but we have the Bush boys series and everyone from my parents to my little boys loves them!

Many of these items would make excellent gifts, birthdays, Christmas, Easter baskets... The kids don't have to have all the items at once and maybe you can pull from other budgets to order. Also I think CHC has flat rate shipping coming up soon. I have it marked in my planner for July 30 but there are a few more dates than that.

My 8 yo dd and 10 yo ds thought Artie and the Princess was good but not great. We read it last fall.
The story didn't really grip me, though others really like it.
The book was nice to hold- thick pages, nice color pictures. I just couldn't figure out the target audience. It seemed a bit babyish for my dc.

Just what I was thinking! I would add some of those things to wish lists for aunts/uncles/grandparents to get for birthdays.

I was disappointed in the Young Man's Handbook. It really didn't offer anything new that we aren't already teaching our boys.
The Bush Boy books are a must have though!
Haven't bought any of the other stuff you have on your list.
CHC has reduced shipping starting on the 30th (I think)!

The flat rate ($3.95) shipping starts July 30 and is the last one for the year.

I just wanted to plug items 4, 5 and 6. They are produced by some dear friends of mine... a 15 year old girl and 12 year old boy at the time. The Fr. Byles book is a great living component to the Titanic studies. Trading cards aren't necessary, but fun! The Four immortal chaplains I liked SLIGHTLY less than the Titanic book, but it is still a great intro to those awesome men. Both books are excellent for virtue studies on a non preschool level.
I have the Lepanto DVD but honestly haven't watched it yet!
