I'm trying to gather a list of online highschool options where there is a community of other students who are learning the same material.

My son (going to be 7th grade equiv this coming year) is thinking he might like to go back to regular school for high school and after some discussion we figured out that this sharing of common experience with other kids is what he's missing. He thought an online community might meet his need and I promised to gather some resources for him to consider for when that time comes.

What do you guys know of? It doesn't have to be Catholic or even Christian focused. If it is a religious option that is hostile to Catholics mention that so we can consider the potential problems, but you don't have to withhold it as a possible resource.
