Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My daughter can easily read the material in her grade level reader, however she reads in a monotone. When prompted, she can read with expression. I asked her how she reads when she reads to herself, and from what she told me she reads in a monotone - which would explain why she doesn;t do much independent reading. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks

In working with her, i think I've found the problem, which is that she needs to practice her reading more, and was not reading as at high a level as I had thought.
