Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This is a lovely post on Daily Rhythms in the homeschool. The author , elsewhere on her website, mentions that she is influenced by Waldorf, Charlotte Mason and John Holt.

I thought it gives us food for thought, as we plan our terms and years....

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Yes - there is a lot there that seems to be worthwhile to read and dig. I am hoping to do a bit more reading there this weekend ( or next, depending on our schedule! )

Lovely, Leonie. Thanks for the link.

Coincidentally, I just posted this morning about slowing down ... our lives seem to naturally follow that sort of ebb and flow that becomes a rhythm of busy-ness and slower times ... we're heading into a period of slow-down. Sort of the "tidal homeschooling" label that Lissa so aptly put into words.
