My 2 girls have been using the CHC materials this year, and absolutely love them so far. DD12 was a little off on the Light of the Nations, but after reading further into it, I'm holding her back from reading too far ahead..lol.

DD7 keeps looking at me.... "That's it? Only 1 page?" and she's retaining pretty good. So I'm hoping that this takes well. I'm having to do a lot of reading myself with the various lessons, but it's working for us so far(yes, barely a week..lol) but it's fun.

We started, too. Well, we started about 5 weeks ago, building up slowly. Today was our first FULL day back though. It went really well! Unfortunately, DH will be working late every night this week and the first trimester fatigue reared its ugly head over the weekend, too. I hope we I can find enough stamina to make it through the whole week!

We're 6 weeks in so far.

I have to say I'm very pleased with the CHC curricula. It works well with the subjects I'm not using for CHC as well.

We are still on track for everything but science.... and this has been an issue. I'm not terribly behind, and since dd7 is on track with everything, tomorrow is her light day, so I figured we'd dedicate the afternoon to experiments, and get mostly on track.

We are using the grade 2 - first communion. She has started CIC at the church. It has been interesting, as when Sister C. talks about things, dd7 eyes light up and she whispers she read about that, or knows an answer when it's put out there.

If the year continues at this pace, I think we'll be doing the same next year. It's just so easy to order practically everything from them. the other things I already have!
