Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ten Ways to Simplify Homeschooling

I love this list. I know we've had it posted here before, but it's always nice to review

I second the idea of keeping distractions to a minimum.

The biggest distraction I have had with my sons in high school has been girls! My oldest son started dating a girl when he was a junior and it really affected his school work. I was determined to not make that mistake again and but then my second son started "going with" a neighbor girl. That was even worse because she lived within walking distance. I'm praying to avoid the situation with the rest of my children and pointing to the first two as examples of what NOT to do in high school!

What a wonderful reminder! I just printed it out and I'm sure will refer to it often. :-)

God bless,

Thank you Melinda for this! This is the first time I've seen this.

Shared it with a few close friends - everyone of them appreciated it
