Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Our plan for school for our sons will be transferring to a local junior/high school by 7th grade. I was hearing that it requires a transcript of some kind.

My first thought was "Oh no, I'll need to enroll in a program to get this and have accountability."

But then thought there must be a way. I'm going to find out more details from the school of what is needed, and obviously at 2nd grade I don't need to fret too much, but I'd love to hear a way to keep a "transcript" if you're using a CM or living books approach to education.

I'm not 100% familiar with what is meant by a transcript, but why can't you write up an official looking document listing what ds has covered.

Transcripts are usually just course titles with grades.

You could keep a few pieces of his work around, and some booklists, just in case they wanted to see them. But I really doubt if many schools are that interested. If they really care about what level a kid is at on entrance they would do a placement exam, so maybe you could find out what classes the kids usually take before entering that jr high, and then spend a bit of time covering that material just so your kid doesn't feel overwhelmed by the transition.
