Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd11 is really into planners and organizers (which, I'll admit, she gets from me). I was looking around for a book she might be interested in, and I came across this which looks like it might be a helpful book, except that it is obviously written for kids in school. I'm wondering if there is a book that is similar for kids who are homeschooled? Or maybe one that isn't quite so "schooly"?

My dh works with youth and someone recommended this book for him to use: Life work inventory I haven't read it, but did flip through it and it looked good. There are several books/CDs in his series. I don't have it in the house -- it was just a perusal loan. However, as I recall, it's not as fun looking as the book that you linked.

At eleven, she might be able to enjoy reading some organizational books written for adults. Organizational books for children seem to assume the children attend school. However, books written for adults about home organization are often written in language an 11 can understand (and many feature pretty pictures of well organized spaces too.)   My eight year old daughter and I like "The Organized Home" by the editors of Real Simple. Check out the library--I found some good home organization books there too!

Thanks Maryan and Rose Gardens. I've seen Life Work but I was thinking that was for older students. Maybe I should check into it more. And, "rose", I think I might have the book "The Organized Home" around here somewhere! I remember reading it some time ago, but I can't remember if it was a library book, or one we have on our shelves. I guess I need to be more organized .
Thanks for the suggestions!
