Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Just a quick one, I've been digging but haven't figured this out exactly yet, sorry if I'm being dense...

The other serendipity baskets, M is for Music and P is for Poetry, etc., are these linked into the Alphabet Path at some point or should we do this seperately? Either is fine, I just didn't want to start the other baskets and such and then find them linked into the Alphabet Path later on. If I'm understanding correctly, the Alphabet Path is it's own set of plans, yes?

Thank you for any help!

I didn't write those plans, but I believe they are separate and more aligned to "Along the History Trail" lesson plans.

Ok, thanks Paula, I do see that now...
So, do you do the Alphabet Path and the American History Trail together then? Or do you do one and then the other? Am I trying to think too much into this?

I had that same question earlier this year, and I decided to focus on one at a time. I picked the alphabet path to start with. In hindsight I am SO glad that I am just focusing on one. There is so much good stuff in the alphabet path- plenty for us at this point. Trying to do the history trail with it would have been way too much for us.

Just the Loyola Kids Book of Saints from the alphabet path has enough to keep us pondering and discussing all week!

Thanks Melinda,
this all sounds wonderful. I think we will slowly make the plunge...I'm going to leave my 13yo with her MODG curriculum, she's doing well there. I'm going to shift the 9yo to these methods this year doing some history read alouds and narrations, making a book of centuries, and using the science baskets. Then next school year I hope to start the alphabet path with the 9yo, a 5yo, and a 2 1/2 year old.
