Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used this book before?

http://www.criticalthinking.com/getProductDetails.do?code=p& id=05241 Hope my link works)

Anyway, I have a few questions about how to go through the book. Each chapter works on a different facet of thinking developement and each chapter has many pages. Does one work through each chapter until done, or take a page or two from several chapters at a time and work through the chapters in tandem??

I'll say I'm pretty excited about these materials. I also got Mind Benders, Think A Minutes, Mathematical Reasoning, Reading Detective and Word Roots A1. Anyone who has used these materials and has any practical advice they'd like to share I'd love to hear how it worked for you! TIA

I couldn't get your link to work. We use some Critical Thinking books - Building Thinking Skills and Mind Benders, mostly. Which book did you have a question about?

God bless,
Christine

We work through the Building Thinking Skills books straight through, no bouncing around. One thing builds on the next. If you were to skip around, I'd do one concept - all of it, then another concept - all of it. No partial concepts unless I really knew that a kid reached the point of really being unable to handle the work.

Does that make sense?

God bless,
Christine

I really like CTC. Much of that is b/c my kids seem to really like the materials. I mostly use them to supplement and to keep kids entertained on trips or running errands.
