I was curious if anyone out there has used the RACE for Heaven study guides for Mary Fabyan Windeatt's books. They seem very nice, but a bit pricey. Any comments would be appreciated.

I'm bumping this up!
I have looked at the website and have been waiting for my dd to reach the 4th grade recommended age. Do you read books on all the saints in the study? It appears that there are not Windeatt books for every saint. I would love any feedback.

I don't know if it helps, but I bought the RACE for Heaven study guide for First Communion Prep for my girls last year. I suspect that the individual study guides are similar. We really enjoyed using them, but I'm not sure that they're worth it for most people. We do love the Windeatt books though, and have quite a few of them!

The study guide for First Communion offers daily lessons, with readings for the parents, and high school/middle school students, copywork for the First Communicant and a family read aloud (the Windeatt books on Blessed Imelda Lambertini, St. Therese, and the Children of Fatima). They are comb bound and printed on heavy weight paper. They do not appear to be professionally printed.

Each Windeatt lesson has comprehension questions/narration prompts and discussion topics, "Growing in Holiness" (practical application), and catechism exercises.

Sailormom that is helpful, but it made me look again at the website to see more about your program. I had wondered why they saved this Windeatt study guide until 4th grade. As it turned out, we did not read about Bl. Imelda in 2nd grade so we're going to give it a try this year. I went ahead and ordered this one.

This guide is much more reasonably priced, so it must be just a fraction of the info in your Communion With the Saints Guide.

I'll give a report of the one I ordered when I get it.
