I have never used Sonlight before because it was just way too much money and tweaking. But now that I have it I'm rather excited about using it for my 8 yr old dd starting next month.

I don't plan on doing the language arts b/c that wasn't included and I don't want to buy it.

From what I can tell so far, the only thing I need to replace/tweak is bible/religion studies.

I don't see any conflicting books so far... could anyone give me a heads up on any issues that I should know of?

I use the Sonlight Catholic forums on Yahoo Groups. They have files with all the questionable books. We are in the middle of Core 3 and have found it great fun--though a lot of reading. I haven't had to change anything yet and don't remember any books being a problem in this core.
We don't do their LA or bible either. The bible may be where big issues are.
