Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am finally reading the Latin-centered Curriculum. I know it was discussed in past years and I am way behind the curve. But my dial-up is so slow, I can't get a search of the archives done to see what you wise ladies had to say about it.

I *think* I agree with his philosophy and the approach of the main focus on Latin, while doing both ancient and modern history concurrently. I certainly like the idea of scaling down the number of subjects that we focus on.

One thing that pops into my head, because I like neat and tidy packages, is that I am tempted to open up the Memoria Press catalog and try to order what they have listed for each grade level. They have the Famous Men of... series. Another series is their Christian Studies. Then later grades do the logic and rhetoric. However, I really did not like Latina Christiana. So, I am not sure that I will like the other products they publish. Any thoughts?

Are any of you doing a Latin-centered curriculum with different books but covering the same basic plan?
