Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Let's put together ideas for what to put in our workboxes. Even if you do not use workboxes, feel free to add ideas.

Flashcards
DVD/Video
Worksheet page
Vocabulary Quiz

For each of these I will have to explain the directions to the children. Then, they should know what it means each time they get the materials in their workbox:

Illustration - the workbox will contain a laminated card that will have some sort of symbol for illustration, a stack of vocabulary flashcards and a paper. The assignment will be to copy each vocabulary word onto the paper and create an illustration to go with it to help with memorization.

Sidewalk chalk and a stack of vocabulary cards - go outside and write the latin word along with it's meaning on the driveway.

Small tape recorder, blank tape and flashcards. Read each word into the tape recorder along with it's meaning. Playing it back so you can hear it. (Or make up a rap or rhyme to help you remember and recite this into the tape recorder.)
