Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Help!

I need to find a few Protestant curriculum providers for a Christian neighbor who asked me to help her put together next years curriculum for her daughter. I know of Abeka and Rod and Staff, what else is there? When I googled "Protestant homeschool providers" I got a bunch of Catholic sites.

I'm lost, help?

Hi Maddie,
I think it depends on what she's looking for. Is the looking for "school in a box" (i.e. Sonlight) or is she putting together her own mix and therefore looking for various providers - Bob Jones, Tapestry of Grace, Ambleside Online? Either way, I guess I gave you a few more provider names!

I'm a former protestant. PM me if I can help.

Thank you, Martha!

Yes, she is looking to put together her own mix. We are looking for quality books as inexpensively as possible as her dh's hours were cut at work recently. I will look into the providers you mentioned, thanks.

Sonlight is awesome - and you can use the library, and the catalog for booklists, and/or just buy the IG.

This is always my suggestion. Especially because for a Protestant company, I have found them quite "Catholic Friendly". And between getting an IG used and getting books through the library (even ILL) it can be cost effective. I have a hard time recommending the "Catholic Bashers"

Christian Liberty Press is another one

I am a fan of Ambleside but it might not be for everyone. Sonlight is probably the best one out there when looking for explicit guidance plus literary quality and sympathy to other religions.
