Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Maureen Wittmann will be a presenter for several upcoming Homeschool Connection webinars (like attending a home education seminar but no need to leave home)

Maureen will be presenting a topic each month. Here is her list of upcoming topics.
Feb. 4 -- How to Teach History with Real Books
Mar. 4 -- How to Teach Art and Music Appreciation with Real Books
Apr. 1 -- How to Teach Math and Science with Real Books

I love when Maureen talks about teaching with real books – very inspiring.

There is a $10 fee for each live talk. The fee also allows you to watch the recorded event at a later date with no additional cost. If you can't participate in a live talk but would like to see a recorded version it will be available at a later date for only $4.

I'm on tap to do one too. I was going to do it in october, but didn't really like the idea of doing a webinar from my bed. Now, I'm trying to figure out whether it's safe to do one while nursing an infant.

Anywho, we're looking at February (if I'm brave enough). I don't have a topic nailed down yet. What would you all like to hear?

Homeschooling with toddlers/preschoolers!!! I'm going absolutely mad!!!

I'd love to hear one on highschool without an "umbrella" type program as well.

When we move back to NOVA this summer (woohoo!!!), maybe I'll be able to meet you and just ask in person!

I've been asked to do one too but I haven't committed because I'm scared to death. I don't quite understand how it works.

Yes...if I commit ...what are you all interested in hearing about?

Me first!

Elizabeth, how to make Real time for each child.

Cay, how to continue to use picture books as your kids grow older.

From anyone, how to plan homeschool events--like a Nature Study--so that it will not be a wasted day or a babysitting opportunity for older kids.

I have a feeling that pretty much anything you two would have to say would be well apprecaited by this crowd. You can do it, Cay and Elizabeth!
