Our 19 year old was assigned a`persuasive essay in college on a controversial topic in her field (Education K-8). She chose to write about s-- education in Elementary and Middle schools. She got an A on the paper and her teacher said it was a good persuasion and was convinced. She also told her this "timely essay should be published."

I'm going to try to post it on google as soon as I figure out how to do it.

That's great...but don't post the whole thing. Some publications want first North American serial rights to an article, and if you post it on a blog, that's the first publication. Then you can only sell second rights to the piece.

(I'd love to read the piece, but want to protect your dd's ability to sell it!)

She's doing really well at the local CC. Remember how much we struggled with Seton? Now she says it was the best thing to do and she says I need to enroll the girls in the English program next year.

She has gotten 6 A's and 2 B's in her English papers. Her latest paper she is writing this week is on the public school system and what needs to change. She got a 100 on her rough draft today. Her teacher wants her to talk about homeschooling in her final draft.

I'll upload the persuasive essay tomorrow and put a link here. We are so proud of her!
