Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are overjoyed to let everyone in an on a little secret we've been keeping. Serendipity is now available in an easy-to-navigate web page format! Cindy Kelly has graciously taken all the beauty of Serendipity and put it at our fingertips. Read Elizabeth tutorial here for using the site to get started on the Alphabet Path, then click around and have fun.
We'll be updating constantly as the links are ready, so if something you were looking for is not available yet, check back. Enjoy!

Looks great!

The lively language lessons on the website seem to link back to the American History trail on the blog (just a heads up).

We are really excited to be able to finally share this with you.

Kristie - thanks for the heads up on the Lively Language Lessons. My husband has a "template" for each page and obviously the links transferred over since I didn't have the table for the actual posts done yet. It's all fixed on my end, and my husband should be able to upload it tonight.

Enjoy!!

Wonderful! Thank you.

(I have to admit that my ADD-self would get all flustered and confused trying to follow the Serendipity blog with all the links and sidebars! )

You guys are great!!! You're awesome!!!

Can someone explain to me how Serendipity was birthed? Is it for younger kids only?

I have been looking through the blog for awhile, and the website, and I know I must have missed why this was written and how? I'm the curious sort of person, and study curriculum, and help many with curriculum, so I want to be able to understand it better so I can recommend it to other homeschoolers.

Well done!!!

Elizabeth is taking a board break this month, so I'll be the historian:-). Serendipity came to be last fall amidst the swirl of Waldorf controversy. It was the fruit of the hard work of Katherine Johnson and Elizabeth. Katherine had a vision to design a site that would show just how Waldorf meshed with Charlotte Mason meshed Real Learning. Initially, and even now, it is an effort to share what is going on in the homes of the authors. Katherine isn't contributing any longer, so Marisa and Cindy and I have stepped in. Since we have children from babies to teenagers, there's something there for all ages. History, Art, Poetry, and Music can all be adapted up through high school and Elizabeth and Marisa are using it with their older children. The grammar lessons are also quite complete and certainly adaptable up through middle school. The site incorporates the faith just as our homes incorporate the faith, hopefully putting to rest any doubts that we can take what is good from Waldorf and cast the rest aside. It's not a Waldorf curriculum and it's not a Charlotte Mason curriculum. It's a pure Real Learning education and an answer to the question so many people having after reading the book: what does this really look like in real homes?

Just as an FYI - the same thing is happening with the gnomes.

And WOW! - this is so wonderful - thank you so, so, so much!

And the site is just so pretty, too!

Thank you all!

Thanks for the heads up Laura. I figured that would probably happen with the Gnomes as well. We are trying to reorganize the Gnomes right now so that they are more manageable - once we get that done there will be live and active links on that page as well!

I'm so glad you guys like it!

I totally agree, this is wonderful. I have been slowly working my way through the site, finding the posts, copying and pasting onto word, printing and putting them in a binder so that I can go through the lessons and plan for each child. This will save me a huge amount of time. Thank you so very much!!
