Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have had Wordpress for almost a year now and for the most part been happy with it. However. I can not get iframe(CatholicContent), and I have been having a dickens of a time getting the blogrolls up(4Real and the Catholic Moms). I am about to do a search for perhaps another blogsite, meanwhile, is there one I should avoid, any that shine out as really good sites?

Cindy -- I've been using blogger for a few years now -- very few problems, and it's free!

I've had blogger before, but you can get a lot of random traffic on that one, and I got some very, very anti-christian people on mine and ended up deleting the blog because of it. They were just very scary people and I had pictures of my kids on there! Do you know how easy it is to physically locate people just by the information they put on their blogs?! I'm trying to be very prudent now on my newer blog @ stblogs.com. I think this is wordpress operated, though. (?)

Also have a new one on blogger, and it IS easier to use. http://cgsmoms.blogspot.com/ I have it on a private setting so it hopefully won't be found at random. Good luck!

I'm with blogspot and sooo happy, it is very user friendly. After using a site that drove me wild and nearly succeeded in me to giving up blogging I can't believe that blogging is actually easy

Inserting the blogrolls was a cinch.

I have one on blogger and one on Homeschool Journal. I like each one, for different reasons. Both are free.

If I had to choose one...well, I would probably pick HSJ because changing the template is easier, and I like the customer service. I think it is WordPress based, though.

I recently changed to Wordpress. My husband had to input the Blogrolls in text widgets to get them to work. The blogrolls on Wordpress seem to only be designed for a list of links that you input manually.
Hope this helps.

Cindy -

I have the same trouble with the Real Learning blogroll!!

Heather -- Would you mind sharing what code your husband used in your text box?? Susan and I went back and forth trying to get it to work on my wordpress blog, but never could. I used a text box too, but couldn't get the code to work.

I had a problem when I would copy & paste it, but I found one little bit of the code that just wasn't pasting correctly - why, I have no idea - and when I fixed it manually it works. It happens every time I have to cut & paste the code. ????

I use blogger and homeschool blogger. I like blogger better. I've had it for four years and although I have had my share of adventures, it was not anything I couldn't handle.

I try to get it from him tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

My husband said that he just cut and pasted the code for each blogroll into a text widget.

Hope that helps...

I have not had too much trouble on blogger. It is very easy to use since they upgraded it last year.

I use an alias for myself and aliases for my boys. I have a private (invitation-only) blog for family and friends where I post about the boys.

I also use comment moderation and do not allow anonymous comments (both good options from blogger).
