It is very dense with information and draws heavily from Charlotte Mason's 6 volume set. I would say that if you read the 6 volume set, you might not need Laying Down the Rails. But, if you want a good summary with many quotes from Charlotte Mason, Laying Down the Rails is great! Let me know if you have any specific questions.
