Thank you, Leonie! She's wonderful, and being at that point in my life, where I'm seeing the wee little light at the end of the tunnel (6 more years of homeschooling), her blog will be a huge blessing to me! Thanks again!

I enjoyed reading her blog. I'll put it in my favorites.
I just read the "Missing My Children" post and Rick and I just watched our almost 19yo daughter move out of our home and into her own apartment in a big city.
I have to keep the lyrics to this song close to my heart--it is the bandage that keeps it from breaking.
Find Your Wings by Mark Harris
"It's only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I'll want to know
You're walking in the truth
And if I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories
I pray that God will fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
It's not living if you don't reach for the sky
I'll have tears as you take off
But I'll cheer as you fly
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings"
It is so hard. Ladies with young children...PLEASE hold on tightly. Cherish every moment (even the ones where you want to pull your hair out ) because it truly is in the blink of an eye---
Hugs and blessings to all of you who still have wee ones...where the days are so very long, but the years are too short!

Oney, your post made me cry! I only have one more year with my precious, precious angel daughter and she will be off to college! I want to savor every minute while she is still with me! And hold on to my younger ones all the tighter!

Oh I just love the way you phrased that. I am storing this away in my memory. Thank you.

...sniff... my baby turns 18 this month too. The sword in the heart kind of stuff I suppose.
