Is there a place on this site where we share challenges and joys in raising dc? Where we discuss(or get ideas about...) books on discipline? "Tried this, tried that" methods of deligating chores? Discussions on character building?

These types of discussions usually fall under the Fireside Chat area. Sometimes, though, depending on the specific topic, it might fit better in Loving the Little Ones (if your question is about babies and toddlers), The Teenage Years (where those of us with teens discuss teen issues), or The More the Merrier (if your question pertains to large family issues).

If in doubt, Fireside Chat is the safe bet. Also, the moderators can always move a post to the appropriate forum.
