I was completely outnumbered by the kid today, they pro tag-teamed me I admit defeat!
Lets just say I am exhausted and publicaly humiliated by my kids today.
So how do i start on the right foot tommorrow when i jsut want to though in the towel.

Oh, Maggie, I'm so sorry.
You can start on the right foot....just remember it's a new day to start fresh.
I have no idea what happened, but I have also been publicly humiliated by my kids. It was several years ago, and yes, it was our worst day ever.
You'll be in my prayers.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Give it to the Lord...He can do some good out of any situation. 'Public humiliation' is a good thing in His Book...it attacks our pride.

We had a horrible day last Friday. It was supposed to be a fun last day of school. My kids also humilitated me in front of a guest and the day just kept getting worse.
Put it to prayer. I've asked St. John Bosco to help me with my boys.
For me it also means realxing things that are not a big deal. Making sure we eat right. And most importantly for my group is to keep them busy. If they have down time (too much, that it) they fight.

Cast your burden onto the Lord and let Him help you. Where you are weak he is strong. Build yourself up in your most holy faith and just do what you know to do. That's what I have to do.
I'm sorry you had such a rough day.

The beforementioned scriptures are lovely and consoling. On a secular note, after a day like that I stop and make breakfast (idea came from Simple abundance) and explain to the dc we are starting ourday over. Regardless of the time of day, let it go,breathe deeply and make breakfast, use the scriptures to meditate on while letting it go and praying for direction. Implore your guardian angel and the dc's angels to bring a spirit of peace and discernment. It really works, soon you will find yourself light and laughting, I will pray a Ave right now for this intention! And another one so I can remeber this advice

Maggie, after reading my reply I realize it might sound like there was only one time...years ago....that we had a bad day. Not at all.
That day is what came to mind when I read your subject line. With what happened and going through a dark depression....it was my worst day ever.
You've been in my thoughts and prayers.

If you feel like crawling in bed to cry, do so. Allow yourself time to weep. Let the kids crawl in bed with you or at least let them know that it is ok to have a reaction to a bad day. When my 4 were young, (We had 4 children in 3 1/2 years ) there were many days we all sat and cried in the bed or I cried alone. Call a time out on yourself. My kids always laughed when I said Mommy has to go to time out. When you get a chance use a friend or your dh to give you a break and go out of the house alone or have your dh take the kids out for a little while and leave you at home alone(what a concept!) I will keep you in my prayers. Tomorrow is a new day. The embarrassement you had will be funny in another few days!!!!

Thanks Ladies! it helps to know its not just my kids who can be well...kids
Today has been so nice...God knew i needed a break.
A friend who lives out on a small farm dropped off one of her teen daugters while running an errand in town with another dd.
I got a ton of cleaning done while she played with the kids and baby took a nap ( a miricle in itself!) I actually unpacked boxes that have been piled up since the move last fall!
then she came back and picked up the oldest two to go ride ponies and pet lambs.
I browsed at the library and ate pizza and salad at my favorite place that i never go to because of ds and dh's gluten problem.
It has been a lovely afternoon. I felt bad at first considering it. ds has only been without me when the baby came but i asked him if he was ok without me and he said "oh yeah!...ummm i dont have to stay for ten days though?"
thanks you for your prayers- God heard them!
Maggie-who is much more well rested.
