And yes, I am shouting. I'm waving from the rooftops! Yesterday a big envelope came in the mail. Mike and I called Michael upstairs and watched while he opened a letter from Mount St. Mary's University. Tah-dah! He got in! It's not his first choice (right now--partly because the soccer coach still hasn't called him back) but we were all relieved that the first response we've gotten is positive. The grand experiment turned out okay. Everyone was in the room by now, merrymaking and carrying on three different conversations. And the blond child looked up solemnly from the second piece of paper and said very quietly, "And they offered me a Presidential Scholarship." Woo hoo! THE FIRST FOSS SCHOLARSHIP was an academic/leadership one. It had nothing to do with soccer. How funny is that!?

Congratulations!! And a fine school I must say. My Dad's alma mater and he speaks so highly of his time there! He recently went to his 50th reunion(?)He had a great time.

Congratulations to all at the Foss household. Way to go Michael! So happy for you.
On a personal note, please keep Billy in your prayers this week. He is taking his fitness test for the Naval Academy ... last step in this arduous process. All the paperwork, nominations, etc. are in. After the fitness test it is a matter of waiting to hear.
