Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi all-

For those looking for some suggestions about where to begin in the Orignal Series here are some suggestions from June Butchee who had read them all, much of them twice. She moderated our local Cm group where we are studying the original writings.
Of the people I know who use CM, June does it more closely and consitantly and her ideas are very helpful   She has graduated one child to college and has a teen and pre-teen now. Here is her website, too...

From June:
Volume 1 or even 2 would be the easiest to start with. Volume 1 is
more educational where Volume 2 covers the reasons why. Volume 1
is for the education of children up to 9yrs old. Volume 3 is very
philosophical,(that's why we have skipped it until later) Volume 4
is meant for the children to read, Volume 5 is in the form of
stories, and Volume 6 was written last, so it summarizes all her
philosophies as well as goes into older children.

When I have been asked, I tell people to start with one Volume and
read the sections they are interested in. Usually this is Volume 1.
I have researched a topic through all the volumes before, mostly
in preparation for a talk.

Personally, I enjoy the volume titled HOME EDUCATION, most of all.

It was the first I read, too!

It is available online - http://www.amblesideonline.org/CM/toc.html
