Dear Friends,
Very pleased to finally announce the arrival of our blessing 
Early yesterday morning at 3.30am, 5th July Australian time we welcomed our beautiful baby BOY into the world. Saxon Patrick  He rather surprised us with his size weighing in at 10lb9oz., or 4780g  He is very long and plump, and beautiful of course  . If anyone could tell me how I'll paste a photo in.
As I mentioned here the labour was a 'stop and go' to start with. Never having experienced that it was frustrating, but finally we went up to the hospital at midnight on the 4th of July. After a long  2nd stage (2hrs) he was finally born. I actually stayed in for a little longer than normal (for me)- 24hrs. I've just got home and was conscious many of you were waiting to hear so thought I'd post a quick line.
Many of you would remember our name dilema Needing Baby Names and wonder where Saxon comes from. He is named after Bl John of Saxon, who was an English priest martyred in his church on the steps of his sanctuary by the French. Patrick of course after St Patrick of Ireland.
Thank you all so much for your prayers, it was such a comfort during labour to know you were praying.

Oh Erin, I am so happy for you and your husband! I just love big plump babies! Enjoy your time together in these upcoming weeks/months.

I have been waiting on tenterhooks to hear. So glad all went well and Saxon Patrick is safely with you. I won't say "little" Saxon Patrick as he isn't . You could literally fit two of my Naomi when she was newborn into one of him  .

So wonderful - what a long, patient wait for you all - well he's a biggie all right! I know all about big babies and the good thing about it is.....you've really got something strong and solid to hold onto once they come! (If I had a small one, I would be nervous holding onto something so fragile!  )
If you haven't found out how to post your little picture of him, I'll get Phil to email you the details! (I'd be lost with him when it comes to computers!  )
