We are subscribed to several educational You Tube channels. My dc loved watching Liberty's Kids which we found available on You Tube. You Tube is a great resource. However when and how do you know if a Chanel is what it says it is? My ds read all of the Redwall series and asked if we could search for the Redwall movies or TV episodes. (My question is not really related to the quality of these however I am open to any comments regarding their quality, content or suitability!) They are not available on Amazon streaming or on Netflix but we did find them on You Tube. I can't sit through each episode to see if it what it says it is. Is there a way to know?
God bless,

197 Educational YouTube Channels You Should Know About
I get what you're saying, sunny! There is so much to choose from but how do you check for quality? The only thing that I've done is to google search and/or Amazon search for reviews. Then I keep my fingers crossed :)
Love,

That's why I love having a smart TV! I pre-select videos and watch them on the large screen with no other distractions. I also like that I can search ahead of time and add them to my lists.
And Jenn, to carry on our conversation about social media, I'm now considering YouTube as my next medium to master. For now, I want to make lists to share and eventually I might become brave enough to make and share my own video
Anyway, here's http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtFqPGI0MSP8NzvO_ZiZmHA/feed ?activity_view=5my channel if you want to check it out.
Does anyone else have a channel that they make public and want to share? I will be happy to subscribe :)
Thanks, sunny, I've been hoping to get to this topic for some time
Love,

Hmmm, I wonder if it would make sense to create a 4Real channel where members could add videos by educational category?

Hey, Heather, that's a fun idea!
Have you used YouTube for similar purposes? Is there a way to set it up with contributors? Or would one person need to run it? No matter what, it would be something to be managed by someone. Hmmmm...
For now, we can at least share our public lists, right?
I'm definitely going to think on this and when I get back to YouTube, I'll see if I can answer some of my own questions .
Love,

I don't know the answers either, Angie. We have been adding some YouTube videos to our own list recently now that Roku finally has a YouTube app. It's so nice to be able to watch them on the larger TV screen. But I still have a lot to learn about how it all works. I don't even know if my fledgling list is public or private ... will have to check next time I'm on!
One thought though, we already have a Pinterest site, right? That might be another way to link to and categorize videos. But it would add another layer, and not everyone is on Pinterest. Just thinking "out loud".

Glad you are thinking out loud, Heather! Since YouTube isn't highest on my list (I have a few other platforms I my get up and running first) it may be awhile until I get back to this. Will you bump this topic as you get to it? I'll do the same. Thanks!
Love,
