Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My son is starting uni on Tuesday. He is my first and we are stumped as to what 'school supplies' or basically what kind of binder/notebook etc. he should grab. He has the techy stuff so we are just looking for the more traditional stuff

The university bookstore should have multi-subject notebooks (for note-taking, study notes, keeping class info in one place). His professors will give him info on the types of exams he will be taking (in the USA, "blue books" or "green books" are used for essay tests and can be found in college bookstores...don't mark them, as professors may ask your son to turn his in and pull another student's blue book out of a stack before the test). That purchase can wait until classes have begun.

Pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, batteries for sharpener...beyond that it's helpful to see what professors say they require.

Thanks Nancy. He was leaning toward the multi-subject notebooks- there are actually some that look like spiral bound but are binders but still flexible (clear as mud eh!)
