Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am wondering what grade you think it's best to start logic? Also, what material did you use and why did or didn't you like it? I am starting to look around and there is so much out there and I want to be sure it's a good program so suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

I have actually started logic studies with my 8 year old using the games at Wff N Proof

These are mult-age and multi-ability games that really get into logical thinking. With that solid foundation, any follow-up would be a breeze to ease into.

I think around age 12 to 14 is a good time to start. Right now I'm doing The Fallacy Detectives with my 14-year-old and he likes them. I plan to follow up with The Thinking Toolbox, The Art of Argument, and then move into philosophy books, starting with Sophie's World. I don't know if I will do anything more than that. I guess it depends on your priorities and children.

stef had a recent post on her blog with some ideas and resources - Logic/Philosophy for Kids

We are using the Memoria Press book by Martin Cothran - Traditional Logic I for our Catholic homeschool enrichment program. We are liking it so far. It is open to 7th-12th graders. Memoria suggests it can be used as early as 7th grade. They have an online class offered as well.
