Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm totally stealing Barb's idea...she's right, it is fun to see what other families intend to study!

Here's our plan - the part that is planned, anyway:

Teaching Textbooks Algebra II
Biology (textbook TBD, lab at Co-op)
Japanese (possible community college class in 2nd semester, home study during first semester)
Vocabulary Workshop, Warriner's Grammar, Jensen's Format Writing and some literature study (not yet planned)
Didache series Church History
Social Studies - not planned...hoping for ideas to help DD decide!
Dance - Irish and clogging
Music - violin, guitar, Irish music sessions

oh I don't know how far I am...

math - teaching textbooks alg
science - biology - tbd (considering having her take it at the high school.. for a variety of reasons)
history - WWI and WWII (probably encompass from the turn of the century to the end of WWII)
spanish - rosetta stone
grammar - easy grammer 10th grade
something for writing
literature tends to fall into the history reading but we may add in some additional just because (she loves to read anyway)

and who knows what else this is the child that will easily come looking for more info on something she finds interesting.

oh for Religion we'll tend to expand what she gets at CCD..

and we're having ongoing talks about vocation and talents and careers and such.

I've wanted to start American Heritage Girls with all my girls and the timing has never worked out.. but maybe...
