I love the look of this and am needing a bit of a focus for my 9th/10th grade daughter's history. She is a slow, but thorough, reader, so I will be slimming down the selections.

One thing I would like to replace is the 'spine' text: Christ the King Lord of History. We don't own it and I would like to find a substitute.

Has anyone used this syllabus? Can you suggest a suitable substitute? (As I look through the syllabus it is hard to figure out which parts the text is covering as it tells you which paragraphs to read between! Sort of hard to link it up with specific topics!)

ps I was looking at Historical Tales: Greeks, as well as the one for the Romans (at The Baldwin Project)

Historical Tales are great. My son really enjoyed them. Very readable. They are also available as a free download for Kindle.
