While working with my 15yo on an essay this morning, I realized that my mind quickly works from generic categories to manufacture details, questions, and general fodder to place in an essay. My son? Not so much. My guess is that I have a natural inclincation toward organizing/grouping/categorizing. I'm also more experienced so have lived long enough to have these groups in my mind to "go to."

Can you help me to brainstorm these types of groupings?

Here are a few I thought of quickly:

who, what, when, where, why, how

past, present, future

male, female

old, young (experienced, inexperienced)

physical, emotional, mental, spiritual

pros, cons

internal, external

objective, subjective

good, evil
