Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

A friend of mine passed along a magazine clipping she found and thought it would be great fun for homeschoolers!

It says: ...factory tours that are fun and often free. Unlock the mysteries of manufacturing for thousands of American products, from cookies to cars, by checking out Factorytoursusa.com. The site provides details on more than 500 tours listed by state or industry.

Looks like fun!

I remember Mr Rogers having something like this - does anyone know if just those segments of the shows can be purchased anywhere?

Funny, when I read the magazine clipping, I too thought of the videos on Mr. Rogers.

You can see some of his videos at his site: Mr. Rogers Website

I know that the PBS site sells some videos of their shows, they may also sell some of Mr. Rogers' videos.

It's awesome to go to different factories!   We've seen pretzels, potato chips, Harleys, travel trailers, RVs, chocolates, Jelly Belly beans, furniture ...

Even though the website should have more up-to-date info than the book we used, it's always a good idea to call ahead and make sure they'll be up and running when you plan on going.   Especially during the summer, some factories close down for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the website!!!
