Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

i was wondering which book you all think would be better to read aloud to my 6yo. it seems like christmas carol could get kind of heavy at times, but i dont know if the best christmas pageant ever is appropriate either. what age did you read these aloud to your kids?

thanks

Monica~I probably wouldn't read either of those to a 6 yo. I'd save "Christmas Pageant" for when they can read it to themself some year.   And, "Christmas Carol" is really heavy for 6yo.

Is it a boy or a girl?

This thread: Advent Reading for a strong reader has some good titles. Even though these are listed as "independent reads for a strong reader"....many of them are good for read alouds for all ages, including the younger ones.
