Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How many labs should we have to count as lab credit. I mean to be able to say "Physics with lab" on the transcript. Currently we do about 1 per week, which would give us about 36 at the end of the year. I have no idea how many there should be.

Hi Barb, I believe that Arizona State University expects ~ a lab a week. For home educators to apply, it looks like they want one sample lab submitted in addition to some other information. More here.

Love,

i would also suggest checking with the colleges your dc is interested in. my dd was specifically told by one school, that she needed "Two Lab Sciences, done in a Lab, not your kitchen."

Our umbrella, which counts Carnegie units, requires 20 labs.

Well, I guesse with one per week we should be fine. I looked at some college web sites and couldn't find any that stated a required number of labs. Also searched the internet to find some sort of "standard" of how many labs constitutes "with lab" on a transcript and found nothing. I have to think that 30-35 labs for each year is sufficient?

It is more than you'd do in a traditional school lab science class. Think back...how many of you did a lab every week?

You're right. Actually I was afraid of science back then and somehow got away with only one lab science (with biology)!

I called my son's high school. They have to complete 20 labs for the course credit.
