I was curious to learn if anyone pays the membership fee to use enchantedlearning.com. Are there many other pages I would have available to print? Is the upgrade from free to $20 worth it?

I did it last year and I'm sure it paid for itself in giving me easy access to workbook-style pages to give the kids when they craved them.
It makes it much easier to find unit study pages -- for instance, we did a unit on Chinese New Year and used their sheets alot! We also used them for bird study, letter and number practice....all kinds of stuff.
Yes, you can probably print them without membership but it's just so much easier and I figured I was saving on time and workbooks. Also, the folks that own it have sure given much away free; I figured the membership was worth it.
This year, I didn't re-enroll. Instead, I did buy a membership for edHelper.com -- this is very much like Enchanted Learning but it seems a little more sophisticated. The Sudoku puzzles were worth the membership alone!
Hope this helps.....

I did last year - it really helped me when it was my turn to plan the thematic actviites for Group Learning ( a co-op sort of group).
And my youngest two sons used a number of the foreign language activities.
I'll probably re-subscribe this year - it just saves a lot of searching on the net!
Mary G, I'll check out edHelper - last time I checked it didn't have much we'd use but you make it sound interesting!

We love it! Especially if you have littlies or under 10's I think it pays for itself and we certainly don't use it extensively. It's great for unit study and/or lapbook/notebooking, and if you can't seem to get anything together for a day , just see what they have on their calendar HTH.

Mary,
I noticed this unit on St. Therese of Lisieux at edhelper.com. Did you ever notice any other Catholic content?

I use Enchanted Learning all the time for my young ones. Erin loves the crafts and we can usually relate them to a subject we are covering. It is totally worth the $20.

Thanks so much ladies! I took the plunge and subscribed to enchantedlearning. I found alot of things to use already!
Mary G., thanks for the link to edHelper.com. I'm saving it in my favorites & making a note of it in my organizer to look back at in a few months. I may save up my pennies to join there also.

After this thread, I also went ahead and subscribed to Enchanted Learning. I am so glad that I did! You get SO much more than I imagined. I use it mainly for my 4 year old (who wants desperatly to "do school" - and is the most enthusiastic of the bunch ) but it also added some nice pages to my ds notebook on robots/bionicles, rounded out our desert study, etc, etc.
I am pleased with it!

We also subscribe to it, and really love it! I use it a ton, and have never regretted spending the money for membership.
