If you have a local high school homeschooling group, do you have stated dress code, moral code, behavior code? I know it might seem silly to ask, since we're assuming homeschoolers are all on the same page, but I'm learning they are not. Would you share your group's standards?

We have a highschool group that meets. The girls are required to wear a skirt below the knee and no slits. The boys have to wear dress slacks and a collar shirt. I too was surprised that things have to be spelled out, not everyone seems to think the same when it comes to manner of dress and speech.(no dyed hair for boys!!)
So far no code needed for conduct,Father seems to nib it in the bud quickly if he sees or hears anything inappropriate.
The dress rules were emailed to parents so they knew what was expected not something that was just told to the kids.

Jackie,
Who decided what the rules would be? We're finding that different parents have different opinions...

We participate in a local coop that has classes for K-12. Only my 12 yr old attends classes there. This is a nondenominational group and we participate there because there aren't enough Catholic homeschoolers to have jr high/high school classes.
There are zero dress codes. I'm appalled at what some of the kids wear. The boys always look sloppy and like they need a shower (although they don't have that "dead" look in their eyes). The girls aren't as immodest as the general populace, but I wouldn't say they are modeling "ladylike" dress, either.
The statement that has to be signed says only that you will respect the Christian nature of the group and that parents will make sure that their children are behaving in an acceptable manner.
The kids run all over that church as though its a playground and no one seems to think this is weird. Frankly, I'm surprised that the host church hasn't complained.
They aren't bad kids. They have parents of all varieties of Christianity who love God and the kids seem generally like most other homeschooled kids I've known. I would just say that the standards for the coop are at the lowest common denominator.
This was my experience in another coop we participated in, in another state, too, dress wise, but they were generally better behaved in indoor settings. That was a Catholic coop.

Thinking ahead here. After you have a dress code, who will see that it is carried out?
We have participated in different groups and been part of a few activities where there was a dress code.
I can remember a particular concert that I had to find a long enough skirt for dd, her knee length one was not listed in the codes so we shopped ( not a shopper here) for that black skirt that she wore once becasue it just is not comfortable as the knee length one. When we arrived at the concert, skirt length and modest tops were not the norm.
Another time the school had parents atttend a required meeting where they showed us accecptable and unaccecptable shoes. Why bother if they were going to allow flip-flops anywhay-even though they do not meet the requirements?

Luckily our priest does. He is running the youth group. A family in our parish has a good size basement so at 6:00 the priest has mass, then at 7:00 we go upstairs to the Kitchen and have supper. They furnish the meat dish and we all bring side dishes. Then we go downstairs and Father gives a talk for an hour and then he has question and answer time. During good weather the kids then go outside to play basketball or stand around and chat. They use to be able to change clothes after mass, but due to some mmmm... shall we say bad choice of styles... that this is not allowed anymore.
Our Priest is from the FSSP and is wonderful. He feels it is very important to have this youth group so that he can help these kids be prepared for "the world" out there. He gave a talk on music that was just awesome. They use to do more activities, but Father's time has been to busy so they haven't done as much as he would like. My kids enjoy it and have a lot of respect for the rules that Father is trying to instill in them. Father will talk to a person if he feels something is out of line (such as the young man who came once with dyed hair).
