Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm not sure this is the proper forum and I've done some searching in the archives but haven't seen this particular question posted in a subject line sooo....

In looking at the Serendipity book lists, is the goal to buy all the books or to just get them on loan as needed from the library? That seems cost prohibitive so how do you decide? In my particular case, in searching the geography books, our library system, which accesses about 5 different city libraries, seems to have some of the books but not all. So, what does one do?

Then I was looking at the Language Lessons and the books by Ruth Heller. I did find most of these thru our library system but wasn't sure if these were worth purchasing? I guess I can check them out and then decide. Were any plans done for adverbs or prepositions (there are no links)?

Thank you!!!

Well, for what it is worth, this is what I did. I purchased the book for M is for Music, A is for Art, and P is for Poetry. I checked a couple of the Ruth Heller's book at the library, and decided that I did want to buy them. So I found a couple at a thrift store, bought one with a coupon at Barnes and Noble, and got the others for gifts. The rest of the books, I either checked them out at the library or used some similar that I already had.

This might not answer your question, but theRuth Heller books are great additions to any home library with littles. I just found 5 at a yard sale, I was doing the happy dance all the way home

I have found many books through the years at Goodwill or Garage sales. I carry a list with me of the books I need that I can't get at the library. If I can't supplement with anything else, I wait till I own those books, request the others at the library and then I start.
