So, what can any of you tell us about the Bush Boys series by Father James Tierney? Are they only available in Australia? I'm thinking this might be just what I need for my son, but am having a difficult time purchasing them!

I'm not an Australian lady, but I did order them from Australia for my oldest 2. We really enjoyed them A LOT! I did the first as a read aloud then the others were read so quickly I was amazed (and a bit bummed not to read them aloud first)    
I bought them from http://www.fidelitybooks.com.au/
The people there were very helpful and were glad to ship to the USA.

I definitely recommend these books

My dc are big fans of the Bush Boys, in fact so are my siblings Fr Tierney used to send them his pre-published copies to pre-read and comment. Fr recently published a new book and my brother bought them two copies so they wouldn't have long to wait to read reading it himself first of course.

As far as I'm aware they are only available in Australia but I know some of the American ladies here have purchased them. Contact the Cardinal Newman Centre and ask how it can be done.

To be really honest some of the way Fr writes irritates me as an adult but the children don't mind, they love the books, in fact ds learnt to read with these books an incentive.

We also have been big fans for many years and I have read them aloud a few times to various children.
This never stopped them from reading them again on their own though.
Some of our children even have requested their own copies even though we have the family copies.
