Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd14 is entering 9th grade next year and we are going to do the Greek/Rome combo thing with Kolbe.

They recommend the Classics CD set, but not required.

Did anyone use them? Were they helpful? Worth the $75??

Kacky, since no one else has answered. Yes, we have them and my dd used them and found them helpful.   I have absolutely no background and 0 time to introduce some of this background. I know in book ordering, she told me to save my money so not everyone has found them equally helpful. A lot depends on your background and time. I was glad to have them and dd did use them.

I'm not sure if they were worth as much as they cost, or that we used them enough to justify all the expense, but my dd did find them helpful. I justify it based on the fact that I have at least 5 others who will be tackling this stuff in one way or another over the next upteen years, so it will get used multiple times. I think that if it were just one child, I'd see if someone nearby had them and would loan them to you. Be sure to listen to them when you get them. We did have one that didn't play right and fortunately got it just in the nick of time to exchange it.
