Congrats on your daughter's wedding!

It may be partly temperament or birth order as well. My only daughter is my third child -- and while we are close in different ways than I am with my sons, she certainly didn't really go on activities just because I was going. Sometimes she did, but often she didn't.

In fact, most of my kids aren't usually that interested in that kind of thing -- the exception seems to be my fifth child, my 13 year old son who has a sociable temperament and will happily go to the store or post office with me just to be helpful and get a chance to chat.
