I am just wondering WHO on 4 REAL is already using workboxes.
we do not need to discuss them in this thread.....we have the other one for that...I just like to know who else is doing it.
And, if you are not now...but do start (that would be me, I hope!)...then add your name here later.
Thanks!

We are getting started with workboxes. Just for my 6 yo so far. Sue Patrick isn't very far from me so the whole workbox craze is strong here in NC.

I am going to a presentation put on by Sue at the end of July. I will report back then how I will be implementing this system.

We are starting our school "year" on July 6th. Our workboxes are in place and the kids are anxious to try it out. Hope it works for us!

We have been using the workboxes the last 3 weeks of our school year and I am definitely using them again, they were a huge success!

We have been using workboxes since March. They have been a great success. We are in our summer mode of learning right now. I was hoping to use lighter version of workboxes for the summer but that isn't working out very well(due to laziness on my part.) I am hoping that my laziness will leave me by Sept. as we really need the workboxes to make our learning time flow calmly.
Blessings,

We will be using the workboxes as soon as I can get organized. I'm now going to go through your other posts, Chari.

We've been using this for a few months and LOVING them! (we're doing our own system, with 3 baskets - 1 per child - and gallong ziplocks in those baskets for the individual activities.)

I only did them for one day for my three oldest (7 1/2m 6 and 4), but they LOVED them, and I think they'll work well. It all comes down to planning.

We finished our last few months of school with workboxes and I'm planning to use them again when we start back up. They worked great for my ds with attention issues! Wow, what a difference!

I am using them with my son. So far it makes no difference, but I think it will be helpful in the future when he is capable of some independence.

I plan on using them also. I have everything I need for the set-up, and I spoke with Sue Patrick at a conference recently. Now I just need to get organizied.

We have started 2 weeks ago. Due to a lack of space I use plastic sleeves rather than boxes. I've also blogged about our system.

I'm planning on using them in our school this year. I'm thinking of using magazine holders instead of the boxes though, because that's what I have space for. Although, I might improvise and use shoe boxes and plastic drawers, because I already have them, I just have to see if I have the space.
I'll most likely be blogging about it soon, I plan to work on them over the next two months in preparation for the new school year in Sept.

I am planning on this as well. I want to do the envelopes in a box idea. I still need to find my boxes though. That's my mission now!

We will be starting to use them in the fall.
Right now I am working on a spreadsheet with ideas that will go in each of the kids workboxes. I really feel like I need to get some sort of system going so that I don't get lazy and just give up

Me too Mimi! Care to share how you are setting your spreadsheet up? Right now mine I am setting one up for each child. Each spreadsheet has categories (enough to match the number of workboxes for that child) across the top and I've numbered it down the first column for each day of the school year. (It's LONG!) I was thinking I would plug in an item for each work box for each day of the year so that I know at an instant what I can put in the workboxes each day. It's getting a bit overwhelming though. (I tend to bite off more than I can chew in these situations!)
(I'm going to move this to the organization workbox post.)
