Pardon the brag, but I a bit bursting
I just picked up my 16 yos from JROTC summer encampment.
This is a large regional training camp for officer candidates in JROTC programs in Chicago land, NW IN and the Milwaukee area in all branches of Armed service. My son earned top honors in every division for his company and "Best Cadet" for the entire battalion!
They administered several tests for officer aptitude, both physical and written. Cadets needed to score at least 50 points out of a 100 to qualify for advancement within their local JROTC program, and my son scored 97!
We are quite proud and happy. He is planning to apply to West Point next year, and this should help!

Congratulations !!!!! And a question if you don't mind - is it possible for homeschoolers to be in JrRotc? It is here in all the public schools, but we cannot participate with them. Something like this might be in order for my son who wants to fly.

Yes homeschoolers can participate in JROTC. Call your local ROTC office for programs in your area.
