Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I did a search and found that some people have previously discussed doing the Montessori Great Lessons at home. I would love an update as to how this has worked/is working for you.

Any new resources you may have found?

Things that were a success and things you would do differently?

Has the structure of the Great Lessons worked? Was it worth the time energy to organize and present?

_______________
Thanks,
Tracey

I used teh Great Lesson approach last year, and it worked well. I have a post on my blog about it:
Great Lesson Post
I am excited to do it again this year and hopefully the kids will get even more out of it. I found Montessori Lori's article on the Great Lessons very helpful.
We enjoyed this book suggested by Donna Marie:
Number Stories of Long Ago by David Eugene Smith.
Emmanuel Books has a book called Ox, House, Stick: The History of Our Alphabet which I would like to try this year.
