Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi,

I just found out about the Heart of the Matter Virtual Homeschool Conference..

Has anybody "attended"? Is it worth it? One of the Sonlight founders is doing a talk today on Living Books, and some of the other talks look interesting.....

I have no clue if it is worth it but did you see the lady that will be speaking about Art? She has online art classes. It looks great (of course I haven't checked the prices yet...) To listen live you need a Window base computer. I have a Mac. That counts me out.

I've been listening yesterday and today and the speakers I have heard thus far have been great!

I have a Mac too, but it does say that you can download all the talks if you have a Mac. So, you can still hear them all, just not live.

So - that would be a thumbs up, you DO think it is worth the price tag?

And - are the freebies good?

Thanks!

You know, at this stage with finances being tight for everyone, I'm not sure I would have paid the $39 for it...it's a tough call. It's one of those things if I had the money I would pay it, but I don't think my hubby would allow that for this type of thing. Does that make any sense?!

The list of downloadable freebies is great though, that alone would almost be worth the money! :)

(I meant to add that I was gifted a ticket by a friend who writes for HOTM, so that is how I got to attend.)

I have done the Cindy Rushton online seminars and have been very pleased.
I really like all the talks and I get to have them forever in podcasts forms for my ipod.
And, she always gives away lots of freebies with all the confrences.
I've never regretted spending the money - and, I figure it will be money I won't spend on tapes later.
