Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Talking with my son yesterday, he sounded very interested in starting some kind of community service.   I'll call our local St. Vincent de Paul society to find out if he can help but I can't think of any other recources or ideas. Because he has Asperger's Syndrom, I don't feel comfortable having him commit to anything for any length of time just yet and I would have to be with him at least for a time while he settles in and works all the kinks out (or learns how to himself). He's 13 years old.

Any ideas?
